A few weeks ago (in early August) Marcus went to a County Fair with Grandma Jackie and Grandpa Don. He has so much fun and keeps talking about it (over a month later). So on the Saturday of Labor Day we decided to head over and check it out. Just for context I normally hate the fair, but I think it is a lot more fun when Marcus is along because he finds everything so interesting and loves it. He really loves the best and most traditional parts of the fair, the farm equipment, the animals, and the other activities. He thinks the food is fine but he would rather eat the PB&J I packed than buy something expensive (I hope it stays that way forever). Here are a few of his favorite things! (Just an FYI these are not listed by preference but instead by the order we saw them).
1. The Tractors (duh)- he also really wanted to walk through some of the RV's but we didn't do that.
2. He liked the rainbow playground play area- he even went down the slide!
3. Walking through the misters- he thought they were really cool!
4. The space needle thing! He couldn't get enough of watching it go up and down.
5. The ag building- he liked the flowers and the bees and the ice cream but most of all....
6. The GIANT Vegetables!
7. The animals (but we don't have any pictures of them)
8. The fire tower- he loved it and loved looking at the entire fair.
9. The DNR building and specifically the Fish pond!
10. This one is a secret and you will see it tomorrow. It was so awesome I dedicated an entire blog to it!
Marcus loved the fair- he had one favorite thing but I am leaving that for its own post tomorrow (it's a secret) but the funny thing is that he still talks about the county fair he went to with Grandma Jackie and Grandpa Don- I think he liked their food choices more!
