Little Boys and their Trains...

For Marcus's second birthday he got some trains, and he really loves them so far.  I love them too, but at the same time I was not too excited to have the pieces floating all around the house, so I thought we needed a train table.  I did a quick pinterest search and found some plans I liked (yes, once again Ana White) and started the project.

 All in all it took me about 7 hours but I LOVE it.

Here it is finished – you can see the handles I added so we can remove the covering boards.

But more important than the fact that I love it – Marcus LOVES it even more.  Now I need to make him some benches to sit on—oh, and we are going to paint a race track on the other side of the wood... sounds like fun to me!
