Last September we attended the Little Falls Craft show and checked out all of the wares. Luke's parents have had a booth at it for the past 30 years or so selling honey and crafts so we have lots of reasons to be there. Every year we wander around and try to see what would be good ideas for Christmas gifts. This year I actually grabbed a ton of them and everyone loved the things we picked up. I LOVE buying from small businesses and from artists and crafters. Anyway we found a gift that we were certain would be perfect for Marcus for Christmas. A tent! Marcus loves tent and wants to camp all of the time so we figured it may be the idea gift for him. We had Don & Jackie hang onto it for us so we wouldn't have to hide it and it worked out great. On Christmas morning, Marcus came down the stairs to find the tent waiting for him--- he fell in love instantly and plays in it every single day. Here are a few pictures of the tent and all of the activities that occur in it.
Everyone in our family has spent lots of time in the tent since it has been up. Warning to other parents- if you give your toddler a tent be prepared to spend A LOT of time in it. The yellow hula hoop is actually a campfire and it moves in and out from the tent depending on Marcus's mood.
After the first couple of days passed we decided to bring the tent up to Marcus's bedroom so he could play there. We also set up a soft bed in the tent and for the past month he has slept in it about 50% of the time.
