A little bit of Wine!

One of the things that we wanted to do while in Oregon/California was check out some of the wineries.  This is something that both Luke and I enjoy however this also tends to be a bit more difficult with the little guy along.

On the drive back from the caves we were literally 2 miles from a few wineries and we decided to just do it.  But we ran into one little snag, Marcus was sleeping.  He was super tired after walking the entire length of the cave and climbing around 500 stairs.

This didn't deter us from visiting, it just made it a bit more difficult and we had to take turns.

Foris Vineyars Winery was our first stop:

The vineyard was super cute and the wine was good, so we picked up a few bottles, including one for my parents to thank them for dog sitting.  It was really cute.  Luke went in first and tasted the wines.  Next, he came back out to the car and gave me his recommendations and I went it to taste.  It is kind of an amusing way to do things but worked just find for us!
When we finished and picked out our wine, we headed down the road to the next place.  It was only
4 miles down the road.  This time we reversed our plan and I went in first.  We picked up a few bottles from here too!

I thought both of these places were super cute.  I think the second one had a much nicer set up to visit and enjoy a bottle of wine but I actually liked the wine a bit more at Foris.

Our little angel is still sleeping while Mommy and Daddy taste away!

  2. This is a fun past-time as each winery and vineyard is different. The best part is you get to sample different wines and still consume very little. Some also offer a snack tray of cheese and fruit to enhance the experience. Same goes for craft breweries. BTW thanks for keeping my grandson in the car, once he is an adult he will be able to enjoy adult privileges.

    1. Marcus loves a good winery- he thinks that the grapes are pretty and loves the snacks. He has ZERO interest in what he calls "Mom Juice" and we intend to keep it that way. Hope you enjoyed the bottle we brought you home.
