Meal Planning Week 3



Well we are now on our 3rd week in a row of meal planning, and getting all of the ingredients on Sunday.  If we pull it off one more week I think that we can start to consider it a healthy trend. 

A few notes on the blog-  I made a few small changes.   I have added a label called "Meal Planning".  This way it is easy to go back through the posts when looking for future ideas and I have been going back in at the end of the week to review the actual meals we made.  Just an FYI that not all of them have been winners (fortunately most of them have been).   The one improvement that we made this week is that we are trying harder to use the left over ingredients from previous weeks.  This week we are actually going to remake a receipt from week one- this is primarily because we still have left over sweet potatoes from that recipe.  By being smarter we are going to hopefully save some grocery money.

Here is this weeks meal plan:

Monday:  Chili with beans and turkey.  This is Luke's recipe from UltraMetabolism by Mark Hyman,  It is one of Luke's favorite recipes and he is made it for the boys.

Tuesday: Roasted Beet Baby Spinach and toasted quinoa salad

Wednesday: Left over night

Thursday:  Roasted Sweet Potato and Black Bean Tacos

                                          Friday: Vegetarian Pot Pie

Next week when I do the meal planning post I will continue to update with reviews.
